Mystic Mac” has given his prediction ahead of his trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier.
Conor McGregor(22-5 MMA, 10-3 UFC), who meets Poirier (27-6 MMA, 20-6 UFC) in the UFC 264 main event July 10, is looking to close out the rubber match in emphatic fashion.
McGregor has never been shy to predict the outcome of his fights and has sometimes been eerily accurate. This time, he has foreshadowed a very particular outcome, and it comes in the championship rounds.
“The prediction is in! I’m going to win the trilogy fight via A Front Kick to the nose. Round number 4.
His Nose needs straightenin and I’m Rhinoplasty 🦏”
McGregor and Poirier currently are tied 1-1 heading into their highly anticipated trilogy fight. McGregor beat Poirier in their first meeting at UFC 178 in 2014, when he needed less than two minutes to put him away. But Poirier avenged the loss when he knocked out McGregor in Round 2 of their rematch at UFC 257 in January.
The pair recently engaged in a Twitter exchange in which Poirier told McGregor to meet him in the middle – and McGregor said he’ll happily oblige. McGregor accused Poirier of backing up and shooting immediately in their most recent outing and vowed he’ll be ready to make the necessary adjustments to combat the calf kicks Poirier used to help lead to his knockout in the rematch.
